Endless Exposition

WALT write an exposition. Exposition writing is a type of writing to persuade, criticize or review

Here is my first amazing attempt

I think collaborative classrooms are a bad idea. One reason for this is the noise level. Another reason
they are bad because there is too much work for teachers. In a collaborative classroom, it is too messy.

In a collaborative classroom, the noise level is too high. In a collaborative classroom, the noise level is so
high you wouldn't be able to concentrate. it can be like a headache if you’re in collaborative classroom.

In a collaborative classroom, there are so many students. That’s why it is so hard for teachers to check
work. I think it is going to be hard for teachers to check work with lots of students.

In a collaborative classroom, people leave the mess around. They throw mess and don’t pick them up.
They're like small kids leaving rubbish behind when no one is looking.

I think collaborative classrooms are a really bad choice because of the noise level, because it’s hard for
teachers to check work, and because people leave lots of mess around.

The first step I had to do was make a google doc
Next I inserted a table and gave it a title
After that I wrote the words positive, negative and interesting to the table
Next I wrote some information on the tables and highlighted 3 reasons why
After I highlighted 3 reasons I made an Opening paragraph with my opinion
Next I wrote about the 3 reasons in different paragraphs

At the end I did my conclusion which had my opinion and my 3 reasons

Squirrel Story!

WALT use our senses in our writing to paint a picture in the reader's head. Also we are trying to put 4 pieces of action to make others read on in our story.

Here is my attempt:

There was a little, golden, furry squirrel. He lived in the dark, green, slimy and mossy forest. He had a happy and beautiful life in the forest.

Until one day, the squirrel saw some builders wearing red tops and yellow hats. They had fierce yellow diggers and excavators with giant buckets.

They had a plan to take trees out and clear the whole forest. The squirrel heard the secret plan of the builders. The time was going by very fast. The diggers started to clear the forest.

The squirrel's legs were shaking. He was petrified! His heart was beating as fast as a train. Something came through his mind. His grandpa was speaking to him. His grandpa said “Don’t be frightened. Be bold and brave. Stretch out your hands and say stop!”

So he listened to his grandfather and said “STOP!” to the builders. The builders started laughing “ha ha ha ha ha.” The squirrel got annoyed, he got another secret plan. He sneaked behind the builders and bit all their legs. They said “AHHHHHHHHH! That hurts!”

They quickly ran out of the forest. They never returned to the forest ever again. “Don’t mess with the little guy” he said.

Painting a Picture in the reader's head

WALT use our senses in our writing to paint a picture in the reader's head.

Here is an example of my writing. Can you imagine the scene in your head?

My strong muscles slithered across the mossy jungle. I smelled the rotten leaves and the stinky moss as I was hunting. I wound my way between the close grouped trees, dodging past the low hanging vines.  I heard birds chirping I knew that my prey was close. A strong smell covered my nose. It was the blood of a human being. I quickly slithered toward the human being. The smell got stronger and stronger.
